All financial aid administered at Shasta College is available to ACE students who meet eligibility requirements. This includes federal and state grants, the California College Promise Grant (CCPG - formerly the BOG Fee Waiver), scholarships, loans and federal work-study (an opportunity to work on campus and receive a paycheck). It is critical to check your MyShasta account for information about your financial aid. Some students may need to submit additional documents, beyond the FAFSA application, in order for the Financial Aid Office to evaluate a student’s financial aid eligibility. Students pursuing a career in early childcare/development and attending a California community college may be eligible to apply for the Educational Support Grant.
Grant funding (to support tuition and/or textbook costs) is based on submission of a complete application, the number of eligible students and successful completion of courses with a grade of "C" or better. Limited funding is distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Terri Trimeloni Schindler was a Shasta College employee who was also a member of our first ACE cohort that started in June 2016. She completed her Associate degree in Business, but unexpectedly passed away two days before the end of her last class in March 2018. She fully earned her degree and her diploma was presented to her family at her celebration of life. Terri was beloved by her many family members, friends, colleagues at Shasta College, and her ACE classmates. She was extraordinarily kind and supportive of all she knew. This scholarship has been created in her memory and will be awarded each Fall and Spring semesters to an ACE student who is enrolled in at least six units of ACE-compressed classes in a semester, has completed a FAFSA (or CA Dream Application), with priority going to an ACE student who is also a Shasta College employee. The application is part of the Shasta College Scholarship Application.
