Services Provided
Students provide services under the supervision of instructors:
- Basic Cleanings - includes appropriate x-rays (only in Spring & Summer sessions)
- Deep Cleanings - includes appropriate x-rays (all sessions)
Cleaning appointments are available (with appropriate x-rays) at no cost to qualifying Shasta College students and at low cost to the qualifying general public.

Patients must be screened to qualify for the clinic prior to scheduling a cleaning appointment.
The Dental Hygiene Clinic holds free screenings to determine patient eligibility for dental hygiene care. Screenings are available by appointment to Shasta College students, staff, and the general public. Please call (530) 339-3608 to schedule an appointment.
Information
- Each semester our dental hygiene students have different clinical requirements and schedule appointments with screened and approved patients. During the fall semester, students are looking for advanced (Code 3-4) cleaning cases. During spring semester and summer session students are looking for basic through advanced (Code 1-2 and Code 3-4) cleaning cases.
- Clinic sessions are 3.5 hours to 4 hours in length and patients must be available to stay for the entire clinic session.
- Multiple appointments may be necessary.
- Cash or check payments are required at time of service.
The Shasta College Dental Hygiene Clinic is located downtown Redding in the Health Science & University Center building. The address is 1400 Market Street, Suite 8106 on the 1st floor - located at the intersection of Market Street and Tehama Street. Please use the North rotunda entrance.
