Students may be eligible for various types of financial aid. If you are eligible to receive tuition fee waivers, grants, scholarships, or loans; it may cover some or all of your tuition and fees. Be sure to complete a FAFSA or CADAA application each school year to reduce your out of pocket expenses.

  • If you have been awarded enough financial aid to cover your fees, payment is not required at the time of registration.
  • If you have been awarded some financial aid, but not enough to cover all of your fees, you only need to pay the portion your financial aid won’t cover.
  • Financial aid will only cover current semester fees. If you owe a balance from a prior semester, you are responsible for making a payment to your account.

To determine if you have any financial aid awards, please visit MyShasta > Financial Aid.

To apply for financial aid visit www.fafsa.gov or dream.csac.ca.gov.

For additional financial aid information visit www.shastacollege.edu/fa.

Payment plans can be created on MyShasta and then select Student Finance tab. On the next page, select Payment Plan Setup Link, where you can then select Proceed to Processor to be directed to the Nelnet Payment Plan website.

A $25 processing fee will be applied, and a 50% down payment is required to establish a new payment plan. If you have enough pending/awarded financial aid to cover your fees, you are not required to establish a new payment plan.
