May 1st, 2020 Letter from Interim Director of Student Services (Dorms)
Please be advised that the Shasta College Residence Halls are not accepting reservations for Fall 2020 at this time due to the coronavirus. Please read the communication from Residence Halls staff regarding this decision.
May 1, 2020
To the Shasta College Community and our future residents,
After careful consideration with regard to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the decision has been made to cancel all reservations for the Residence Halls for the Fall 2020 semester. This decision was a very difficult one to make, but ultimately concern for the overall safety, comfort and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. The Dorm space will be repurposed for this semester to provide socially distant working spaces and community support.
We will be sending a refund of your deposit money to the address listed on your reservation form within the next couple of weeks if you already held a reservation for Fall 2020.
While details regarding the Spring 2021 semester have not yet been decided, if you did have a reservation for Fall 2020 and wish to retain a reservation for Spring 2021 or future semesters, please contact me at the information provided below.
The Residence Halls staff are working to compile a comprehensive list of community housing, property management organizations and apartment complexes for you which will be made available on the Shasta College website as soon as possible.
We look forward to the opportunity to have our Residence Halls open to residents again in the near future, and hope that you stay healthy and safe during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Allie Hancock
